Bill 66 is a BAD idea, the way it currently is written. Encouraging business investment at the expense of our built heritage infrastucture is short-sighted and harms all of us. One does not have to travel far to appreciate and respect the beauty and benefit of preserving and restoring our heritage architecture. People have workd diligently and in good faith to create heritage guidelines in their towns and these guidelines should NEVER be over-ruled by other governments!!
I don't want Bill 66 to remove the protection of the Planning Act and Provincial Policy Statements for significant built heritage resources and significant cultural landscapes anywhere in the province.
