DREADFUL, destructive, backward thinking, totally wrong!
Pure clear safe and well-managed water resources and careful land management are essential. Each individual conservation authority needs POWER and the resources to deal with local land and water issues, and liaise professionally with other organizations and govenment bodies. Local knowledge, historical and anticipatory, can be best accessed by local conservation units for preserving and repairing our lands.
We live on Planet Earth - finite resources, growing population and consumption pressures, erratic climate challenges - conservation should be PRIMARY for us all.
