I do not agree with the consolidation. The current system allows for each authority to focus and advocate for their specific region and needs. The idea of consolidation and giving the provincial government more power over these areas is obviously in the best interests of Ford and developers who are continuously trying to demolish the greenbelt for personal financial gain. A conservation oligarchy is the last thing we need when trying to protect Ontario's natural environments and rural landscapes.
