The conservation authorities need to remain local. The habitats and environments are unique to each area. For example, Scugog Lake is unique and the concerns and needs of this area will not be met by a consolidation of conservation authorities. This proposal is detrimental to the needs of our area and will have a negative impact on our ability to do what is best for Scugog. I strongly oppose this consolidation.
