I regularly purchase an annual membership to my local conservation authority to hike with my dogs, and would like to continue doing so. I'm worried that the cost of a membership would increase, especially since I don't need access to so many conservation areas. Maybe memberships could be available for individual parks OR the larger area at different price points? Maybe discount memberships could be sold for the winter season to encourage use year-round, if that aligns with the organization's goals?
I also have experience with municipalities, and know the struggle to staff those offices and respond to resident inquiries. I imagine that having to deal with multiple conservation areas in a single township or region would be a big pain point. I understand that geographical boundaries don't always align with legal town boundaries, but if at all possible, altering conservation region boundaries to align with existing municipal boundaries would make resident inquiries (including for permits) much smoother and a better overall experience.
Thank you for your time.
