I am very concerned about the amalgamation of Conservation Authorities in Ontario.

I agree with the Comments submitted by the Hamilton Conservation Authority. I am concerned about losing local decision-making. I support the local decision making as the local authority has the background knowledge of the local area and how to apply that knowledge in appropriate ways. This will help to ensure that future developments will not be located in areas where flooding will impact the future and current residents. It also will help to protect natural area and watercourses and the fauna and flora so important to life in our beautiful province.
