The interests of developers must not override the necessary protections of our entirely limited greenbelt and water source areas. While it may be reasonable to carefully re-examine regulations for duplication or unnecessary restrictions, we know from experience the world over that massive de-regulation or over-riding of regulations --what this Bill has proposed -- has always been a malignant move.
The people of Ontario shouldn't need to be experts at government oversight in order to have their lands protected. You, the government, must put aside partisan considerations and do the right thing for our short-, medium-, and long-term health.
Governing is a complicated and sophisticated business and we are all expecting you to do the right thing for our province's health. Stop this Bill.
