For renewable energy approval applications already under review, a municipal support resolution should be sufficient to satisfy the requirement that project developers submit written confirmation from local municipal authorities. Given that support has already been provided it should be unnecessary to engage the municipality a second time. Additionally, written confirmation from local municipal authorities should not be required for projects that continue to be governed by Section 62.0.2 of the Planning Act.
