Yes this makes sense.
My understanding is that the high cost electricity produced by wind turbines displaces lower cost electricity generated by nuclear, hydro and gas plants which in turn needs to be steamed off, spilled over, dialed back or exported at significant cost to taxpayers.....because Ontario currently has excess electricity generation capacity. The current set up makes no sense.
In order for the Nation Rise Wind Turbine project in North Stormont to proceed there needs to be a clear business case established that the power is actually required........this is not the case today.
