My husband and I are against this bill. It sounds like something Trump would do. To us the GTA is developed enough and growing too fast. Heritage buildings and Natural heritage are disappearing. Others are left to rot. Farmers are selling out for a quick buck. Yet there is no municipal transit showing up in our area. How do you propose to move all the new people? The 401 and QEW are daily nightmares now! How can you even entertains the idea that its difficult for new growth. From our perspective the advancing blight is not stopping and moving out, out and out! No one likes congestion and this bill would likely make it much worse - with skinny little homes that start to fall apart in 3 years. Also, we do not like the propect of having to import food from US and China because our good farmland is now covered with concrete, ugly developments and kilometer long buildings.
