Our planet is in urgent need of protection. Business interests cannot override or take precedence over the environment. That being said, the greenbelt must be preserved at all costs. It provides drinking water to much of the area north of Toronto. Aquifers are not infinite. Also, good farmland in Ont. is pretty much only in the southern portion of the province.
Once these important assets are gone, they are gone.
I know it is a daunting task to protect the environment AND finance all the business needs of our province but IT MUST TAKE PRIORITY for the survival of our people and our planet.
We can no longer deny climate change and environmental changes occurring, and rapidly deteriorating
life-threatening conditions predicted.
