Regarding schedule 10...
1) The employment size rule gives competitive advantage to large businesses. This is inherently a biased regulatory environment and is objectionable as such. Given that small businesses generate far more jobs per dollar of revenue than large businesses, the wording also seems to go against the essential objective of the exercise.
2) The laws it attempts to circumvent are generally designed for the public good. Logically then, this legislation is broadly against the public good in the interests of big business (and the minute proportion of the public who may get some form of compensation for development facilitate by Schedule 10). As such it is against the interest of the vast majority of voters and against the long term interests of the province.
In conclusion Schedule 10 is ill-conceived, ill-executed, and should be removed from Bill 66 for the public good.
