I object to this omnibus legislation that will adversely affect so many aspects of the quality of life of for the people of Ontario by removing or reducing protection of our water sources, air quality, wetlands, and greenbelt. At a time when climate change presents an existential threat we have a powerful duty for careful & considered planning for growth, whether it be residential, commercial or industrial.
I especially object to the lack of transparency around the implementation of this legislation whereby by-laws can be passed without public notice. I further object to the lack of citizen recourse through appeals to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
