I am against this proposal. While promoting employment is a laudable undertaking for any municipality, employment enterprises thrive when there is clean water, good transportation links and heritage lands and buildings in the surrounding community. Putting in a workspace and taking those things away will not serve the employees, nor the employer in the long run if they cannot attract good employees. It has been shown repeatedly by the people of Ontario that they will settle and commit to communities that can provide these things. Instead of overrunning the work that has already been done to build well rounded communities, why not help businesses and municipalities work together by streamlining paperwork with technical solutions as suggested by Timmins Martelle Heritage Consultants? I've worked in the technology industry for many years to introduce efficiencies in the financial services industries. I know it can make everyone happy!
