I like the idea of moving the lake trout closing date on Lake Temagami back to Labour Day. It could cause some economic hardship but, with climate change becoming an ever-clear reality, we must be proactive in helping the natural environment. Designated lake trout lakes, where Crown Land sales are forbidden, was a great step forward. I hope that shortening the season will improve the success of adult females.
