In my opinion, i think that The Growth Plan is a great idea for a place with an increasing population, as it would create more jobs and attractions but it wouldn’t help the place to be a clean and healthy environment. That cleanliness and healthiness is being replaced by more of a human approach.(“amendment 1.2”). I believe that an idea should have benefits to all areas, such as the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt helps Ontario economically and environmentally which made it a successful project that helps Ontario in all major areas. This Growth plan also doesn’t increase the number of houses needed to be built. The populated areas need an increase of the number of houses being built, as the population will increase as estimated.

The proposed changes can affect any local community in a big way, for eg. if the local community gets overpopulated and there are no more houses, people would be homeless or wouldn’t be able to find a home anywhere near that local community, so an increase of the amount of homes can help solve this issue. There should be social equity, cleanliness and human approach, as all of them are very important to not just local but a regional community and any of it being less than the other can affect the environment in a major way. I would want the amendment in which a specific amount of land is being given to the increasing population(“amendment 2.2.8.5”) and i would want the amendments above withdrawn or reconsidered.

I hope you take my proposal in consideration and i hope this project is also as successful as the Greenbelt is.
