1) The Ontario government should be much better prepared for a major nuclear accident on the scale of Fukushima by modelling a major incident. Bruce, Pickering and Darlington could all result in nuclear catastrophes on the same scale as Fukushima.
2) Emergency measures must be expended, including informing citizens of the availability of potassium iodine pills within the 50 km secondary zone.
3) The provincial government should study how it would deal with contamination of the Great Lakes. Drinking water would have to come from a safe source. How could this be accomplished? How would contaminated water be contained?
4) The province should have a plan to determine when and if evacuees could safely return to their homes.
5) End the secrecy surrounding talks between government and the nuclear industry. The public should be allowed to scrutinize these meetings.
