This proposal is the most asinine and ridiculous piece of writing. This proposal completely belittles not only flora and fauna of our environment it is single-handedly going to put our province on the map as an atrocious and greedy entity with little concern for the environment, animals and the health of those that live here.

Allowing corporations to pay into a fund to be able to develop the land of protected species is just another example of nepotism among the wealthy. We literally have NO IDEA of the repercussions of the loss of endangered species and rare environmental habitats but evidence (such as the removal and reintroduction of wolves in the United States) would point towards a domino effect.

We should be working towards being leaders of the protection of the environment and endangered species as well restoring natural habitats. Ontario IS NOT a corporate conglomerate there for exploitation.
