This proposal will have no benefit to any of the animals in our province. It appears as if the Ontario government is trying to pass the work onto other provinces. Specifically with the changes on how "if a species is not endangered in other places in Canada, its status in Ontario may be changed". This didn't make sense since we should be protecting the animals on our province, if they are endangered they deserve protection no matter what or where they also happen to be. Without the immediate protection of endangered or at risk species they WILL go extinct and the only ones to blame for that will be the Ontario government.
