I think the current Ontario Government is putting the wants and desires of builders and developers ahead of its’ responsibility to protect and preserve our wildlife species. To suggest that before determining if a specie is becoming extinct, they will check their status with other communities, areas, provinces, countries, etc. Is ludicrous. If a specie is in danger, it’s in danger regardless of other existing habitats. These proposed changes are an affront to the intelligence of the citizens of Ontario. Let the people with the funds pay for the services these wildlife species needs, they are the ones that will ultimately reap the benefits. Haven’t seen any builders/developers declared extinct recently. Where has common sense in government gone?
