This is a terrible idea to put this important decision making in the hands of an unaccountable and unelected group of officials.
It would reduce the amount of community benefits when new developments are being negotiated and before an application is approved.
It would put more power in the hands of the developers, not the community.
It make processes less transparent and less accessible to residents.
In summary, the outcome would make things worse for communities, not better.
