Woodland Caribou numbers are in decline almost everywhere in Canada, so I was very troubled when your party first exempted the logging industry from the Endangered Species Act in June of 2013 and is now once again contemplating an extension to that exemption, all for the sake of support in northern Ontario before the June election. Please don't cave to pressure from the logging industry by placing the fortune of your party before the health of Ontario's Caribou. The federal government has asked each province to ensure that no more than 35% of each boreal range is degraded, but the provincial Liberals appear to be moving in the opposite direction! Woodland Caribou depend on this habitat for their survival, so please honour your obligation to protect their territory.
