I strongly disagree with the proposed changes to the Act. The OESA should protect species at risk from undue harassment and disturbance. This proposed change will weaken the act during a time when species at risk conservation is at a peak and in some cases on the cusp of rehabilitating large populations of endangered and at risk species. We should not be weakening the act this much and should consult with scientific and industry experts before proceeding.
