I am very disturbed by proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act. The science-based recommendations about endangered species and what must be done to protect them should not be overruled by the short-term thinking of any Minister. The loss of biodiversity is a growing crisis that threatens the eco-system we all depend on. "Pay-to-slay" is morally repugnant and damaging to the natural world we Ontarians depend on. This is not what we should be doing.
