I support the extension of the section 55ESA Reg, I believe this will uphold sustainable forest management practices, which will result in optimizing balance in environment, social and economic goals and objectives.

I support putting a multi-stake holder panel to provide an in-depth oversight and input on a workable solution for the Endangered Species Act, in my opinion the extension should be 5years instead of 2years so that the panel can do its work effectively and work through the very complex issues associated with sustainable forest management to achieve protecting species at risk in balance with other critical socio-economic priorities. I Pray that this extension is done as soon as possible after a 45 day review period.

A rushed and inadequate solution to the Endangered Species Act , will have serious repercussions affecting wood supply, leading to mill closures, closing of woodlands contractor jobs, cutting off and reduction of First Nations investments in the Forestry economy and on a personal level this will lead to probably loss of employment, failing to pay my mortgage, which will lead to loss of my house, I have two kids in university, this may mean that I will fail to pay their tuition fees, the impact of this situation being mismanaged is unimaginable, I am confident that fear mongering will not carry the day but factual and meaningful due process will carry the day.
