Hello,
Conservation authorities serve a very important purpose in the governance of Ontario being able to operate across municipal boundaries to protect the citizens that live in their jurisdiction as well as the environment and the watershed the those citizens use daily. The proposed changes threaten to take away some of the power that the conservation authorities have or slow down the the process that they must got through to protect these citizens. In an age with a drastically changing climate and rampant flooding all across not only Ontario, but the rest of Canada as well, perhaps it is not the wisest decision to harm the organizations that have the best chance of mitigating the effects of these changes and protecting the citizens of Ontario. Please do not support these proposed changes, the consequences of passing these changes will be felt by all future generations to come.
