The caribou need to be protected so their herds can build up again. Cutting down all our trees will prevent the caribou from recovering. These companies who make their money by using our natural resources should be held responsible for all the damage they do. They strip the land without planting trees as they go, birds get killed by their nests being in trees that they log-there's no checking the trees so this doesn't happen or chopping the tree down anyway. Many small animals and insects that are affected. These are necessary to our environment!! We should all have the right to walk through the woods, smell the pine, listen to the birds and maybe even catch sight of one of the larger mammals that inhabit the woods. This is being destroyed!! We have to call a stop to this. They need to look into other areas to make their money like recycling paper or finding a tree that grows fast so they can buy a certain amount of land and use it for growing trees over and over again. We have stop abusing nature and start to spoil (in a good way) it. Like replacing what we take, not letting big companies siphon off our best water so they can sell it to us for a large profit! Reduce the use of fossil fuels, not letting big game hunting, or trapping animals for their fur as well as stopping the seal hunt. Has anyone seen some of the polar bears (in pictures)? They are skinny, and as seals are their main food source, we have to keep as many seals as possible. We don't need furs anymore, there are a lot of fake furs that look just like the real thing. We as people are very adaptable but the animals aren't. So we have to change as the animals can't. Just look around and you see the problems everywhere. Just look at all the stripping of land last year because the government had decided to tax it next year (or rather this year). Everyone must start to change especially the government who help these problems get worse. The caribou will benefit from all of these changes!!!
