I am a lifetime resident of Thunder Bay, and greatly appreciate all Northwestern Ontario has to offer including it's natural resources.
I support the extension of the section 55 ESA regulation, to maintain sound sustainable forest management practices in a way that seeks to balance environmental, social and economic objectives. I support the establishment of a multi-stakeholder panel to provide oversight and input on a workable solution for the Endangered Species Act.
As an employee of Resolute Forest Products, and a citizen of Northwestern Ontario, I believe that an inadequate solution to the Endangered Species act would result in catastrophic wood supply reductions, mill closures, and socio-economic impacts to myself and my community as a result of loss of sustainable employment.
