Conservation areas and lands…

Conservation areas and lands provide opportunities for recreation as well as long term protection of natural areas. CAs need the resources to manage these lands and provide for Ontario’s growing population.
Tourism has benefited from the work CAs have done in restoring cold water fisheries. Canoeing, biking, hiking and skiing are other recreational activities provided by CA lands, and are important in our growing urban areas.
Just as we witness catastrophic flooding and the loss of many species, it is wrong to cut funding for storm water management and natural heritage protection!
