I don't think developers need any additional help. They're already adept at squeezing in as many condo units as possible into tight sites.
What does need help is maintaining liveability and services in mature neighbourhoods for existing residents, which will be undermined if you streamline the planning process and force them to choose between parks and other necessary services.
Communities NEED open spaces to make then liveable, this is evident in many studies which link human health (both physical and mental) to proximity to public parks and green spaces. As a landscape architect, I oppose this bill and strongly urge that it be rejected.
