Please do not put the LPAT back to the OMB approach... for once under LPAT where the official plan
determined whether the residents had standing when Council won't listen... Our situation is that we are
having our neighbourhoods drastically altered by 10,000 sq ft homes, of 32ft high to the mid point of the roofs with less than 6ft between homes in neighbourhoods that have 1200 to 2000 sq foot homes that are no higher in height than 21ft to the peak of the roof... The only way we can have any chance of a
compromise is to appeal to LPAT where the official plan says that our neighbourhoods should have
compatible development. Afterall, I'm sure if you had a home 5x large next door so they could look into
your yard and that of all surrounding homes by their height alone. You would complain... there are lots
of homes this size being built in our town... but having variety so new home owners can find a starter
home is part of Ontario's economy... not everyone can start at a 3000 sq ft home outside of Toronto..
So please keep LPAT the same ...
