The proposed 30 metre distance is an enormous change from the previous regulations and will create a dangerous situation for hikers and others using trails. I strongly oppose this proposal. You are listening to the gun lobbyists, not to the people of Ontario who prioritize safety. There are too many guns, and it is too easy for hunters already. Recently a hunter killed an endangered whooping crane on Manitoulin Island! By making it easier for hunters to kill, you endanger the lives of the people of Ontario and visitors. We want people to enjoy nature, not to have to be afraid someone is going to shoot them while they are out in the bush.
