I am responding to this ludicrous proposal because I am concerned about my own Safety as well as the Safety all the people who live in bear country who use the outdoors, especially those of us who do not hunt.
Allowing hunters to set up their ‘ Kill Spot’ only 30 metres from public accessable right of ways and hiking trails puts every one who uses them at risk. Not only the bears are ‘Sitting Ducks’, so are the innocent people who want to be out enjoying nature.
If hunters are unable to make their way 200 metres into the bush to Murder bears, because the are unable to or are too lazy to make the trek, then they shouldn’t’ be hunting.
My next question to those proposing this insane change is, “Who is going to be charged with Murder WHEN the first innocent person enjoying the outdoors is KILLED?
Is it the person or persons who are proposing this change? Is it the lobbyists, the people who pass this ridiculous change and of course, the hunter or all of the above?
All of you involved in this process of this change should be legally responsible and civilly responsible because YOU ALL are complicit in the first and subsequent killings of any innocent individual who are victims as a result of this change, just to make it more convenient for hunters.
I suggest all of you involved in this process look up HOMICIDE in the Criminal Code of Canada. You are obviously not concerned about public safety or this process would not have made it this far.
