I oppose this proposal. Stop making things easier for lazy people. Not only does it increase the possibility of vehicle related incidents with bears now wandering closer to the road, the increased risk of a negative bear encounter with people or pets is also raised unnecessarily.
If people want to be lazy by baiting bears rather than putting the effort of waiting in, they shouldn’t be again rewarded with a shorter, almost laughable, distance to walk. I strongly oppose your suggestion and hope you will use common sense and do the right thing.
