I wish to add my voice to that of many other citizens who are concerned at the possibility that the boreal forest in Ontario will be opened to logging. This critical habitat is essential to the continued existence of woodland caribou, an endangered species. Logging roads would open up the forest and allow easier predation by wolves, if the logging activity itself doesn't first drive the caribou from the area altogether. In 2012 the provinces and territories committed to protecting the boreal forest and the many iconic creatures that call it home. Failure to meet this commitment would be a travesty of monumental proportions. Short term gain for long term pain. EXTINCTION IS FOREVER!!!
