I am a British and licensed qualified Architect who happens to be living and working in Ontario. I am at the moment learning to use the OBC through a course that I am taking. I am shocked how badly written the current code is.
I believe a Building code should be presented and written with the simplest and clearest English language possible. The English language used needs to be accessible to any lay person. The building code is a valuable life saving tool that needs to simple and easy to use.
I would suggest to whoever is writing the new document to look at the Building Regulations of UK.
