1) re: possession 120 leeches .
- this is outdated. A lot of anglers purchase leeches by the pound. There is anywhere between 10 - 16 doz leeches per pound.
2) A bait dealers licence expires every year . This causes unnecessary paperwork . A licence should last 3-5 years . A Bait Report must be done yearly .
3) Natural Brook trout lakes must be protected. However, banning live bait fish in these lakes is a complicated process . I would be in favor of restricting access to any 'remote ' lakes .Education of the harmful effects of exotic species . Higher fines for transferring exotic species/breaking rules ; an automatic 5 year ban of fishing for the first infraction; any vehicle gets impounded for 7 days ( think drinking/driving ).
