It is critical to prioritize our water for local public use, and I am strongly in support of extending the moratorium on new and expanded permits to take water for bottling. I wish we could turn back the calendar and do more to prevent Nestle from purchasing the well near Guelph - it clearly should have been preserved for the future drinking water supply in the township of Centre Wellington.

In addition, the whole bottling of water in single use plastic containers is abhorrent - clearly not a sustainable practice - and we need to put stronger regulations in place to ban that, too!
