I support the continuation…

I support the continuation of the Rondeau cottage community in perpetuity. Furthermore, I support the three-year lease extension as described in ERO Policy Proposal 019-0907. This lease extension should be granted automatically to all existing leaseholders. This time should be used to reach a permanent solution that will ensure the cottage community remains forever. If a permanent solution is reached prior to the three-year deadline, I support it being implemented as soon as possible. The cottage community at Rondeau Park has been a vibrant and integral part of the park since the earliest days of the park. The cottages are the historical legacy of the park and should be celebrated and preserved for future generations to enjoy. Each Provincial Park has its own unique history, environment and culture which should uniquely managed and preserved - in this case of Rondeau Park, the cottages are part of the park's history. Cottages represent small fraction of the total park land and cottage owners are committed to ensuring the protection of the park's ecosystem for future generation to enjoy.
