Re: The long term tenure of the Rondeau heritage cottage community
In 1894 the government established Rondeau as a place where local residents and people from Michigan could build cottages on leased lots with the full blessing and support of the Ontario government. The cottages are a source of revenue for the Province as well as for Chatham-Kent and also support local business for the past 125 years. Why kill the goose that lays the golden egg when keeping this valuable community alive for the longterm is a guaranteed win for everyone.
