I think it is disgusting that Nestle is able to buy up our precious water for pennies. As a current tax payer in Ontario (Kingston), I pay about $1.50/1000L. Nestle allegedly pays $0.05/1000L. I can't understand how a business should be able to purchase a natural resource for resale at a price 30 times lower than what I pay. Meanwhile, my taxes pay for the maintenance and upgrades in my community. The water they sell as an actual product for $2 or more per liter, costs them next to nothing to acquire. Ontario should be generating revenue off of their leaching, not giving away our natural resources for next to nothing.
