To whomever is taking the time to read these comments thank you.
I support the continuation of the Rondeau cottage community in perpetuity. I support the three-year lease extension as described in ERO Policy Proposal 019-0907. This lease extension should be granted automatically to all leaseholders. This time should be used to reach a permanent solution that will ensure the cottage community remains forever. If a permanent solution is reached prior to the three-year deadline, I support it being implemented as soon as possible."
The cottagers not only support local business owners and community groups. The amount of money the lease/taxes and additional fees the park charges certainly are good for the parks over all management and helps the ability to upgrade facilities and fund programming. I know we would not be buying 5 annual park passes each and every year if there was no longer a cottage to visit. Not to mention all the additional entry permits purchased by guests who I should add have also come back to use the camping facilities.
The community in Rondeau has always been strong, and these structures have been a part of Rondeau's history longer than I have been alive. Encourage the residents to be more environmentally sustainable and get involved in the programming the park has to offer.
There is a lot of potential if your willing to explore it and work together to make the cottaging community one the park can be proud of.
