Forgive me for my cynicism, but if the leases were terminated in 2017, and not complied with or enforced - why on earth would anyone believe an extension would also be complied with and enforced? The government of the day clearly has no plan to enforce a termination of a contract and rather than manage that, aims to extend and extend again until they do. Until 2038, who knows, by then the whole Park may be submerged?
NO EXTENSION> TIME IS UP>
Let all Ontarians return to enjoy these precious Parks while we still have them, and their biodiversity. With climate change they will all face their challenges, but allowing humans to continue their often "suburban" lifestyles in such a place is counter productive, UNFAIR and unjustly subsidizing a small sector of society. Never mind all the effects on wildlife facing so many challenges in survival.
No more cottages in Provincial Parks. Period.
