To the Ontario Government
I see that the Ontario government is proposing that cemeteries be exempt from the Cosmetic ban. This means that cemeteries can apply restricted pesticides in order to get that "perfect" lawn look. This is not only unacceptable, it is immoral. We need a safe environment everywhere, including in our cemeteries. Cemeteries should change their practices to support a healthy environment. Our environment is in serious jeopardy and it is affecting the health of all living things. We are entitled to clean air, water and earth.
It all comes down to the bottom line - making more money for the rich and a provincial government that is catering to that cause.
