Challenges and Other Important Actions
- We have had many local discussions around Greater Sudbury not being able to build infrastructure in challenging topographical and design conditions, with the decision from planners and engineers to not build because of the liability issues with deviating slightly from Book 18 recommendations. Our feedback as cyclists has been – is it not more dangerous to not build anything at all on high volume/high speed roads and let cyclists fend for themselves? Leadership from the province on how to address risk would be welcome.
