I support this proposal. The proposal allows the professionals at the ministry to monitor black bear numbers through hunter reporting while also providing a tool for population management and control. This is a science and evidence-based policy that supports resource management. I encourage the ministry to be wary of general, anti-hunting comments that would oppose this proposal solely on the basis that bears will be killed.
