I do not agree with increasing logging. The carbon that is released is greater than what is absorbed by younger trees. We must change our economy to reduce GHGs - not increase them. As you know trees provide us with many benefits such as flood prevention - habitat for species - GHG absorption and the release of oxygen. Perhaps you should consider the economic value of allowing trees to live.
I also do not agree with developing forest access roads. Many animals - such as caribou avoid roads and more roads would add another stressor to a species at risk.
I do agree with using all the product when a tree is cut. Making products instead of selling raw timber attracts more profit and jobs. Export might be more profitable also.
In conclusion - do not increase logging but rather make better product with current timber levels to create jobs and profit.
