I object to the proposed Hallman Pit. Here are a few of the reasons:
1. The proposed Hallman Pit will violate the Climate Emergency Declaration of Wilmot Township
2. It makes no sense to have a gravel pit in a Source Water Protection Area
3. Noise and dust will create severe health effects
4. The hundreds of thousands of truck trips per year will create traffic hazards for pedestrians, cyclists, school buses, agricultural machinery and local drivers
We do not need this aggregate. And surely if we did need it we could get it from somewhere other than a Source Water Protection Area and from somewhere other than the middle of a residential village.
Thank you.
