I object to the proposed Hallman pit on Witmer Rd. This property backs onto my property and all of Shingletown. I do not want a gravel pit in my back yard. The property is partially sitting on a Source Water Protection Area so in my opinion, allowing this property to become a gravel pit will contaminate a great source of groundwater and the wells that draw from this underground lake. This proposed gravel pit will also violate the Climate Emergency Declaration of Wilmot Township. The noise and dust could also be a health hazard to myself and my family because my house is so close to it.
