Expanding the bear hunt in Ontario flies in the face of the urgent action we all need to take to defend global biodiversity under threat from the climate crisis. It is time to retire old concepts based on the exploitation of nature and wild animals. And numerous scientific studies have long proven that hunting is not effective at controlling wildlife populations and can have the positive effect. It is time to end the bear hunt in Ontario.
